You must be working in a KT environment with an RPO based on the Island of Ireland.
Membership is open to professionals actively involved in the field of KT as well as those in associated professional groups working within RPOs in Ireland, including spin out managers, licencing executives, case managers etc.
Membership is free of fees.
IKTA supports the professional development of its members through facilitating networking opportunities and the exchange of best practices, knowledge, and expertise — ultimately enhancing collaboration and increasing the operational effectiveness of KT professionals in Ireland.
IKTA keeps its members and others informed on current local and international best practice and developments relevant to industry-related partnerships, research, commercialisation, technology/knowledge transfer and innovation.
To develop the profile of the KT profession in Ireland, to promote the positive impact KT professionals have on the economy and society, to recognise the achievements of members and to increase the attractiveness of the profession as a career choice.
To advocate for the KT profession, inform EU and National policy and to provide information to third level colleges, public research organisations, companies, agencies and policy makers in Ireland and overseas on matters relating to its areas of competence as practitioners of knowledge transfer.
To promote IKTA as a valuable resource in terms of information and expertise.
To promote attainment of ATTP RTTP accreditation amongst KT community in Ireland.
To represent the IKTA membership in international KT networks such as ASTP, AUTM and PraxisAuril.
